Scientist found it in solar dust dating back to the formation of our solar system.  Today, peridot is found around the world including in: lava flows in Hawaii, on the San Carlos Apache Indian Reservation, the mountains of Myanmar, and in Vietnam.  Peridot is treasured as a gem of light.
